the bridge
grant
Our BABA series started as a partnership — EmpowerU and SIVLL Society coming together to bring professionals and community face-to-face around the issues that matter most. It worked because neither of us tried to do it alone.
That's the lesson behind The Bridge Grant: EmpowerU can't build everything ourselves, and we don't need to. There are people and organizations already doing the work on the ground — they just need the resources to go further. The Bridge Grant exists to fund that work, however it shows up, because impact multiplies when we invest in each other instead of starting from scratch every time.
Individuals and organizations with a project that strengthens Sint Maarten and its diaspora — community beautification, awareness campaigns, workshops, leadership development, or public-benefit initiatives that invest directly in people and place.
The Bridge Grant is pitch-based: you bring the idea, we evaluate the fit. Funding varies by budget need, scope of work, and potential impact — there's no fixed amount or fixed category. What matters is alignment: does this project empower the community, develop leaders, or create lasting public benefit for Sint Maarten?
If you've got a project that fits that vision, we want to hear it.
