Meet Our Human Resources Officer: Malik Richard

Today we have the pleasure introducing you to Malik Richard, an impressive young man from Anguilla serving as our Human Resources Officer.

Malik Richard, is an alumnus of the Morris Vanterpool Primary school, and can be described as courageous, passionate, and consistent. In 2009 he won the Prince and Princess Show which helped to ignite his love for the art of public speaking. Later, he attended the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive school, where he developed his leadership skills. In 2010 - 2011 he was elected as the President of the Junior Optimist club of Anguilla. And then, in 2012 - 2013 served the Rotary Interact Club as president and played a pivotal role in community development.


He also became the Junior Minister of Tourism and represented his island regionally and internationally in oratorical competitions. Mr. Richard furthered his education by pursuing his Associate's degree in General Studies at the A.L.H.C.S sixth form. His influential leadership style propelled him to become the President of the Literary & Debating Society in 2015. In October of that year, he was awarded by the Department of Youth and Culture as the Most Outstanding Youth in Media. Richard, was also a proud Youth Parliamentarian, who represented District number 2.


In 2016, Mr. Richard left Anguilla to pursue his tertiary education at Suffolk (pronounce Suffick) University. He held multiple leadership positions: as a resident assistant, President of the Caribbean Student Network, teaching assistant, vice president and co-founder of the Fundamental Brotherhood Society, and co-founder of the student group Unspoken Feeling. At Suffolk, Richard won many awards such as Martin Luther King’s Creating the Dream award, Exemplary Leader of the year, and was inducted into the Student Leader Hall of Fame.


Mr. Richard recently graduated with Magna Cum Laude with a BSBA in Management with a double minor in business law and social impact and was the Undergraduate commencement speaker.


We are so lucky to have Malik on our non-profit board. He hopes to provide equal opportunities for all and an opportunity to someone who desperately wants to share and develop their dreams.
