Guide to Financial Aid Opportunities for St. Maarten Students

For most Sint Maarten students, it can be hard to find financial resources to fund their education. For most students, to attain a college education requires moving abroad regionally or internationally. Because of this, many students are required to pay international student fees, which are significantly higher than local tuition costs. Most American and Canadian universities and colleges do not offer many if any financial resources to international students. This leaves much of the financial burden on families to support 4 years of education overseas. With the economic impact of COVID and Hurricane Irma, many families are having a harder time saving for a college education.
